Create Your Way Retreats are designed so you can settle in, get creative, and enjoy the Sanctuary without worrying about the details.

Your registration includes:

Bring whatever you need for the creative project you want to work on.

Create Your Way Retreats are open-format, so you can quilt, sew, embroider, scrapbook, knit, crochet, or work on another favorite creative project. The retreat theme adds a little extra fun, but you are never required to work on a themed project.

Please bring:

• Your sewing machine or crafting tools

• Your current project(s)

• Any specialty supplies or materials you prefer

• Personal toiletries

• Favorite snacks or beverages, if desired

Our weekday Create Your Way Retreats are held Monday through Wednesday on select dates throughout the year.

Check-in begins at 9:00 AM Monday, and check-out is by 3:00 PM Wednesday.

Each weekday retreat features its own theme while still giving you plenty of open creative time to work on whatever project you bring.

For a longer creative getaway, join us for one of our themed Create Your Way weekends.

Most weekend retreats run Thursday through Sunday, with occasional special-event schedules.

Typical check-in begins at 9:00 AM Thursday, with check-out by 3:00 PM Sunday.

Each weekend features its own theme, and some retreats may offer optional workshops, wellness experiences, or other special add-ons for an additional charge.

The Sanctuary has five bedrooms and 12 individual beds. Four bedrooms sleep two guests each, and one bedroom sleeps four.

Bedrooms are available on a first-come, first-served basis when guests arrive.

If you're attending with friends and would like to share a room, we recommend arriving together.

All Create Your Way registrations include lodging and meals throughout your stay.

We'll provide:

You'll also have access to the full kitchen and comfortable common spaces throughout your retreat.

Is this retreat suitable for beginners?

Absolutely. Create Your Way Retreats welcome makers of all experience levels.

Because these are open-format retreats rather than instructor-led classes, you should bring a project you feel comfortable working on independently unless a specific retreat includes an optional workshop.

Can I rent a sewing machine?

Yes. Sewing machine rentals are available for $50 for the entire retreat. Reserve one when you register, as quantities are limited.

What kind of project can I bring?

Anything you'd enjoy working on!

Quilting, sewing, embroidery, scrapbooking, knitting, crochet, and other creative projects are welcome.

Do I have to participate in the retreat theme?

No. The theme is there to add a little extra fun and make each Create Your Way retreat unique.

You're always welcome to bring and work on whatever project you choose.

Some themed retreats may also include optional activities, workshops, or add-ons.

How do bedrooms work?

What's included in my registration?

Your registration includes lodging, your own creative workstation, meals, coffee, tea and water, shared cutting and pressing areas, linens, towels, Wi-Fi, and use of the Sanctuary's common areas.

What is the payment and cancellation policy?

Once your registration request is reviewed, you'll receive an invoice by email. Your reservation is confirmed once your deposit is received.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

A deposit of $100 is due at the time of reservation.

The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to arrival.

CANCELLATION POLICY

30 or more days before arrival: Full refund of all amounts paid.

Between 7 and 29 days before arrival: The initial $100 reservation deposit is non-refundable. Any additional payments may be refunded at the discretion of MSSS.

Fewer than 7 days before arrival: Non-refundable.

Registration closes one week before each retreat or when all 12 spots are filled.

Are meals included?

Yes. Create Your Way stays include continental breakfasts, DIY sandwich lunches, and hot dinners throughout the retreat.

Can I come alone?

Absolutely! That's one of the best parts of Create Your Way.

Come solo, bring a friend, or attend with a small group without having to reserve the entire Sanctuary.
